NURSERY

At Heathfield, we have a 52 place Nursery provision. Of the 52 places, up to 16 can be 30 hours and 10 x am places and 10 x pm sessions. The exact number of 30 hour places will be reviewed continually by the governing board based on demand and staffing.

The governing board will allocate places for Nursery to start in September, January and April.

Places will be offered in birth date order from the term after they have turned 3, including 30 hour places (where there is availability) and parents/carers have provided their eligibility code. Where the waiting list exceeds place availability for 30 hours, places will be offered to families whose children are already at Heathfield accessing 15 hours provision in First Steps.

Additional sessions may be purchased for parents/carers needing additional childcare if we have capacity and parents can pay for extended hours each day so that timings are in line with Rec - Year 6 school day.

RECEPTION

For children who have already turned four by 1st September each academic year full time schooling is compulsory for all children after their fifth birthday, so it is important to get your child into a reception place early.

Reception admissions are dealt with by the Local Authority: Pupil and Student Services.

At Heathfield, we accept 30 children in each year group.
