HEATHFIELD PRIMARY SCHOOL FUND MISSION STATEMENT
Heathfield Primary School maintains a school fund to provide additional items and activities, to benefit our pupils’ education and development, that are not required to be provided by the Local Authority.
The fund is supported by donations, fundraising activities and parental contributions.
The fund can be used for the following items and activities:
Subsidise educational visits and transportation
School visitors, for example, pantomimes and sport suppliers
Purchasing of equipment and items to enhance the facilities and school grounds
Fruit
Awards to celebrate achievement of pupils and/or festivities
Miscellaneous items subject to approval by the Headteacher on their individual merit
The funds are held in an account in the name of Heathfield CP School and cheques are signed by two members of staff.
All transactions are recorded manually by the Senior Office Administrator and cross checked electronically by the School Business Manager.
An annual audit is undertaken by an accountant and signed off by the Chair of the Governor Finance Committee.
